We are currently recruiting for a Landscaping Foreman.

Duties are as follows:

  • Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of workers who perform the following duties: maintain lawns, gardens, parks, and other landscaped areas, spread topsoil and lay sod; spray, prune, cut and remove trees and shrubs; construct landscape and landscape structures; hardscaping & working with stones structures/pieces; and plant, cultivate and harvest trees, shrubs, flowers and plants.

  • Establish work schedules and procedures, and co-ordinate activities with other work units.

  • Resolve work-related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports

  • Manage invoicing, financial and personnel records.

  • Train workers in job duties and company policies.

  • Plan, estimate, and requisition the supplies, material and labour required for individual contracts;

  • Organize the planting and maintenance of trees, gardens, lawns, shrubs and hedges and the construction and installation of fences, decks, patios, walkways and retaining

  • May perform snow removal during the winter season, as required.

  • May perform the same duties as workers supervised.

Job requirements:

  1. Completion of secondary school;

  2. Valid Drivers License; and

  3. Three (3) years of landscaping experience is required.

Additional information:

  • Wage to be determined based on experience and will be periodically reviewed and potentially increased over time.

  • Job status: Full-time (40 hours per week), permanent position.

  • Benefits: Extended health benefits (including vision and dental) after 6 months of employment.

  • This position is based out of our office located at 4025 1st Avenue in Burnaby, BC, V5C 3W5. Travel to worksites located throughout Vancouver and the Lower Mainland is required.

  • Language of work: English.
